Holy Schniekies, folks!!! Just over $3,000 with 62 contributors!! Wow, you guys are INCREDIBLE!! I am in a constant state of happy awe. :)
So today was a big day, because of you. Solely based on your donations (and after a ridiculous struggle with various healthcare systems from New York to Texas), I was finally able to afford the downpayment to the hospital and schedule my surgery! At long long last. THANK YOU so very much. You've changed my life with your generosity.

Supah-gnarly scar. Steel-plated and stitched up. And no more bone-bump! Yuck, but YAY!! Surgery HAD!! Thank you for makin' it happen! K, that took all the energy I have for now. I can see a long road of recovery ahead......

Soooooo, been back in NY for a bit now. Layin' low and takin' it easy......and reading a LOT. :) Just got the official quotes for how much the follow-up X-rays and physical therapy/ rehabilitation visits are gonna cost, sans insurance. Ouch. All-around Ouch. Plus all the initial hospital bills that are still so far from paid..... I am hereby re-committing myself to this here fundraising campaign......with all humility and utmost appreciation. If you've already read, or donated, or forwarded, or just sent a kind word or thought my way, THANK YOU. Thank you so much. If you have yet to do any of the afore mentioned things, I sure would appreciate any moment you take to do so. Thanks to each and every one of you!!
